Straight Lane Toad Patrol ( site 1111) moved 3221 toads, 227 common newts and 40 frogs off the road during the 2025 toad migration period last year ( 20th Feb - 27th March) . We only counted 69 dead toads during this period because of the significant number of active patrollers! We are keen to purchase road traffic signs alerting drivers that we are patrolling in the area as the patrol area is in a national speed limit area and is a cut through for traffic to the station. A large portion of our patrollers are children. We have over 100 active patrollers. Unfortunately we have been unable to secure funds for these signs through other applications.
