Hello! I’m Emily, and I’m taking on a challenge that once felt impossible—completing every UK Ironman race in a single season. This journey is about more than just crossing finish lines. After major leg surgery in 2018 and years unable to run, I’ve worked my way back from my first 5km to now pursuing the ultimate endurance test. My goal is to inspire others—especially those facing self-doubt or setbacks—to believe that anything is possible.
Why is this important to me?
For years after surgery, I was unsure if I’d ever run again. Now, I want to show that with resilience, determination, and the right support, even the biggest obstacles can be overcome. This challenge isn’t just about me—it’s about creating a ripple effect, encouraging others to take on their own challenges, and building a community that celebrates every step forward.
How will the funds be used?
The first £6,750 raised will go directly to four charities that have played a vital role in my journey:
Extern: Supported me with crisis care and counselling during some of my toughest moments.
Childline: Was there for me as a young person when I needed someone to talk to.
Cycle Against Suicide: Offered a safe space to share experiences I’d never spoken about before.
St John Ambulance: Supported my race entry for Ironman Swansea and have encouraged me along the way.
These charities provide crucial support to people facing crisis, mental health struggles, and personal challenges. Your donation helps them continue their life-changing work and shows others that support is always within reach.
After the charity target is reached, additional funds will help cover the costs of making this journey possible and impactful, including:
Team support, media, and community events to spread the message further
Every pound raised helps me reach the start line, share the story, and—most importantly—prove that no dream is out of reach. Thank you for believing in this mission and for joining me on the road to Ironman.
