09/07/20025 - Hi. My name is Dan O'Neall. I'm 46 years old. I've been married for 10 years and have a 9-year-old daughter. As my wife, Eman, is in Egypt (no visa) my brave 9 year old daughter Sumayyah will be with me during my Below Knee Amputation scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 20025, in Fairfield, California at North Bay Hospital.
I'm here to ask for assistance. I'm going to have 2 medical surgeries that my medical insurance doesn't cover 100%. My pain clinic doctor will do a surgery called Spinal Cord Stimulator on September 23, 2025
On September 10, 2025, I will have an ultrasound on my left leg. On September 17, 2025, I will see my Vascular Surgeon to go over the findings and make a date to either have AKA (Above Knee Amputation) or BKA (Below Knee Amputation).
My Primary Care Provider, Pain Clinic, and Surgeon agreed and prescribed a medication called Zepbound to help me lose about 40 pounds to make both surgeries and the recovery more of a success. My insurance covers part of the cost, and I have been paying out of pocket with my savings and with a credit card for the past 4 months at a price of $875 while using coupons I find online.
I have had 14 surgeries on the above-mentioned areas from total reconstructive surgeries, joint replacements and countless metal plates and screws throughout my foot, lower leg and knee. I have had 7 more surgeries on my body, including ACDF from C4 through C7. I'm dealing with a UCL tear in my right elbow that I refuse to fix until the amputation happens because I view the amputation surgery as more vital to my health and well-being in the future.
Thank you for listening. I greatly appreciate anything you can give. If you can't give, please make a prayer for my family and me.
