Hello, my name is Kayleigh and my 5 year old lab’s name is Oliver. Oliver is usually an energetic boy who loves to run around making friends and going on outdoor adventures but his health severely declined in the last 48 hours and needed to be taken to the Emergency Vet on June 13. They found that Oliver was displaying severe mouth pain, reluctance to eat, lethargy and showing severe episodes of pain when opening his mouth. The vet concluded that he most likely has a retrobulbar lesion, meaning an abscess behind his eye amongst other possibilities such as a deep tooth root abscess, middle/inner ear infection, TMJ, myositis or cancer.
A CT scan of his head has been suggested to best diagnose what is happening and he is scheduled to go right away on June 15. I was quoted the cost of the entire procedure would range between $2752.33 to $3356.65 and I am reaching out for financial help from friends and the animal loving community.. If you’ve met Ollie, you know how happy he is to be around his friends, both human and animal. It hurts to see how much pain by boy is in and I want him to be back to his happy, adventurous self.
All funds donated will be going directly to his vet care and I please ask if you can’t donate to please share this with friends and family, anything helps. Ollie and I say thank you for taking your time to read this and helping in any way you can.
