Meet Willow!
Willow is a 4 month old Sher-Pei/Lab mix who was recently diagnosed with a serious heart murmur.
Willow was part of a litter of pups dumped at a high-kill shelter in Georgia. Cold, flea infested, and alone - she and her siblings were saved by In Our Hands Rescue and brought to New York to find their forever homes.
Unfortunately, after a visit to the vet it became clear that Willow would not be finding a family just yet...
She was diagnosed with a heart murmur that we were hoping was innocent and would resolve with time, but unfortunately that wasn't the case (it's a 4 out of 6). Willow has already been a frequent visitor at the vet's office and is scheduled to see a specialist next week who will determine her course of treatment.
She's truly one of the sweetest, most loving puppies we've ever met! Anyone who meets her falls in love instantly and realizes why we are working so hard to give this girl a second chance at a happy life just like her brothers and sisters.
Unfortunately, her care and medical bills are adding up so the Rescue is currently seeking donations from friends, former adopters, and animal lovers alike to help cover the costs of Willow's care.
Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated!
Updates on her trip to the specialist will be posted very soon.
