Mexico's Earthquake
Donation protected
On Tuesday September 19th, another violent 7.1 earthquake struck the Mexican Capital and nearby States
causing more than 200 people dead with many more buried in the rubble all over Mexico City. The number
of structures that have suffered several fundamental damages could reach the hundreds and the death toll will
most sadly increase.
Mexican solidarity emerged and thousands of people spontaneously joined the authorities and first responders
looking for survivors and taking the streets to offer water, food and tools lifting the country’s spirit.
In moments like this, we stand ready to assist in any way possible. Several organizations employees (Mexican Consulate, Pemex,
Promexico, Exatec, to mention some) in Houston are all working together in establishing this fund for disaster aid.
We want to express our sympathy and support to the Mexican people as they struggled with this tremendous tragedy
and want to contribute to the recovery efforts.
