On November 8th, 2016 Adam and Katie Corey were delivered news that no parent should ever have to hear. Sadie their 2 year old princess had developed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since the diagnosis, Sadie and her family have been relentlessly battling the disease. Her light and positivity shine SO brightly through all of the chemotherapy & procedures. Sadie's 2 year old little body has endured so much already. Some days she receives 3 different rounds of chemo along with blood work and spinal taps (which require sedation). She's had multiple bone marrow biopsies and several blood transfusions. The family has made countless trips into the children's cancer clinic at the hospital. Sadie is being cared for by one of the best medical teams in the NW at Randall Children's Hospital here in Portland OR. Katie is a practicing RN at the same facility, which has been very helpful.
We all know the extravagant costs associated with a life change of this magnitude. The Coreys are grateful for medical insurance that is going to cover a lot of her hospital and doctor visits. The financial burden that comes with managing her illness and missed work can add up quickly! This Go Fund Me was set up to help this wonderful family in a great time of need.
"We are HOPEFUL because she is strong. We are confident that she's receiving the best care possible. We are forever BLESSED by the amazing support our family has received from our family/friends and community. When you're experiencing adversity, the compassion and support of others means the world. We are forever grateful."
