We’re in Crisis — and We’ve Been Denied Help
We are a small, volunteer-run animal rescue operating within the SPCA’s catchment area. Every one of us has a full-time job — but we still show up, day and night, to save the lives of animals no one else will.
For months, we’ve reached out to the SPCA asking for help. We’ve begged for support, for intervention, for collaboration — and each time, we were denied. Now, the situation we tried to prevent is here.
On top of the 2 cats sitting at the pound waiting to come into our care (1 being pregnant) we have been overwhelmed by the intake of 24 unwell cats, most of them sick, pregnant, or nursing, and a litter of kittens on the verge of death. These animals need urgent medical attention, and if we take them all to the vet, it will completely bankrupt our rescue — but doing nothing will cost lives.
We should not be facing this alone. We are operating in the very region the SPCA is funded to serve — and yet, we’ve been left to pick up the pieces, again.
We’re asking for help from our community. Whether it’s a donation, a foster home, medical supplies, or just sharing this post — anything you can offer will make a real impact. We are also seeking a secure enclosure to help keep the genders separated. What we currently have is proving not efficient.
These animals are innocent. We stepped up when no one else would — and now, we’re asking you to stand with us.
Thank you for believing in the work we do. We won’t stop fighting for them.
