Nina & André: Lost Everything in Jasper Fire (2024)

Nina and André, along with their two sweet rescue dogs (Emma and Brucie) lost their home and all of their belongings in the fires that devastated the Jasper community. Forced to evacuate their home with little warning, and experiencing a major vehicle breakdown during the process, they are now faced with a heartbreaking reality and an uncertain future.

We are collecting funds to help Nina and André to begin to rebuild their lives. Donations will go toward crucial necessities, shelter/housing, vehicle repairs, food/toys for Brucie and Emma, and basic home items that will allow this incredibly kind couple to begin to recover from this catastrophic loss.

Nina and André have been dedicated members of the Jasper community. Nina is a Parks Canada employee, who oversees species-at-risk monitoring for birds and bats. Last year, she selflessly dedicated her time to assisting with wildfire relief in nearby communities. André is secondary school teacher, who has spent years mentoring and developing programming for youth and teens. He works tirelessly to ensure that students from all backgrounds are given a bright and promising future. Emma and Brucie (lovingly referred to as "the beans"), have found a forever home with Nina and André.

This sweet little family has been a source of encouragement, support, love, and inspiration for so many! Any help that you can provide in helping them during this trying time is sincerely appreciated.
