Nicole Needs Help for Her Dad's Farewell

My name is Nicole, I'm 31, and my dad is in hospice waiting to die.

My dad raised me alone and was always a goofball. Even now, he's making jokes when he's conscious. Everyone has always said that he's kind, reliable, smart, and funny. He frequently took in stray cats and always helped friends when they asked, rain or shine. His favorite music was the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan. Many weekends were spent singing along to music and enjoying a Carona on the porch.

He didn't have a lot of money to leave me, even though he worked very hard all his life, and I had to take leave to help him pass as comfortably as possible. All the money I have has to go to rent and other bills. I won't be left over with enough to cremate him, which is what he wants.

Anything at all to help us cover this cost would be wonderful. I love my dad very much. It's already so painful to watch him slowly fade away. Knowing that I may be in debt just to get through the next steps is making the process even harder.
