In Loving Memory of Nicole Grushka

On January 27, 2026, Pam, Fred, Coleman, and Sinead experienced an unimaginable tragedy when their beloved daughter and sister, Nicole Grushka, was taken far too soon. Nicole was only 20 years old, but in those years she made a profound impact and touched the lives of so many.

Nicole was kind, giving, and deeply loving, with a truly selfless heart. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and special. Every room was brighter when Nicole walked in, and she leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Honouring Nicole’s Memory

Nicole had a natural gift with children - they were drawn to her kind heart, playful spirit, warm hugs, and genuine caring nature. Every child she encountered loved her instantly. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher, a path that reflected her deep desire to care for and uplift others.

In honour of Nicole and to keep her dreams and legacy alive, the Grushka family is establishing an annual scholarship in Nicole’s name. This scholarship will support a graduating Gimli High School student from Winnipeg Beach who is entering the childcare or teaching field - helping another young person follow their dreams, just as Nicole was following hers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward this scholarship. All contributions, n will go directly toward creating this lasting legacy in Nicole’s name.
