Living to study in the US

Saddleback College USA

Hi all.

I am heading to California in January to attend Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Orange County where I will study and play water polo full-time. Classes start January 17 so it's creeping up!

I am going to a Junior College first with plans to transfer to a 4 year institution.

I have been working full-time, and despite current grieving circumstances missing minimal days in order to fill up the jar. Dad has provided plenty as well, which I am very thankful for. Being my only parent now, he has no choice but to pay for everything!

The class fees alone will deplete all of my savings and then I will have to find accommodation and cover my day-to-day living expenses and travel costs.

It is a difficult time for something so big to arise but I will be pursuing this opportunity. It’s what my mum wanted me to do.

Any money I can raise here will go towards my education fees and living expenses. Ideally, I would like to buy a cheap little car so I can get to class and to my water polo games. Public transport is very difficult in California, and probably not too safe!
