Help NextGen Agri Voices Represent African Youth & Women in Agri Media at the African Food Systems Forum 2025
Hi friends,
I’m reaching out with exciting news and a heartfelt ask.
From August 31 to September 5, 2025, I’m planning to attend the African Food Systems Forum in Dakar, Senegal, the continent’s largest annual gathering on food and agriculture.
Last year, I attended as one of the youth delegates sponsored by AGRA, and it was a life-changing experience. I met innovators, farmers, policymakers, and activists who are rewriting the story of Africa’s food future.
This year, the forum is happening again in Dakar, Senegal.
As many of you know, I founded NextGen Agri Voices, a youth- and women-led platform amplifying the stories and innovations of young people, women agripreneurs, and Indigenous knowledge keepers across Africa’s food systems.
This forum is more than a conference; it’s where decisions are made that shape the continent’s food future. Being there means I can:
✅ Showcase the work we’re doing through NextGen Agro Voices.
✅ Represent Ethiopia’s youth in spaces where we’re too often overlooked.
✅ Build partnerships to grow our platform’s reach and impact.
✅ Bring back knowledge, strategies, and stories to share with our community through social media, workshops, and collaborations.
I’m seeking $2,500 to cover travel, accommodation, and participation costs.
Every contribution, big or small, brings me closer to being in that room, ensuring the voices of youth, women, and Indigenous leaders are not just included but centered in Africa’s food future.
Here is how you can help!
Donate any amount that feels right.
Share this campaign with your network, friends, or organizations that care about food justice, climate action, and youth leadership.
Connect me with potential sponsors or partners in the agricultural sector.
This isn’t just about one person attending a forum. It’s about making sure the next generation is at the table, not on the sidelines, shaping the systems that will feed our future.
Thank you for believing in this vision, supporting me, and helping NextGen Agri Voices become a media spotlight in Dakar.
Let’s make it happen!
