Neenah Rocket Robotics Going to World Competition!

We’re proud to announce that two teams of students from the Neenah School District have qualified for the VEX World’s Robotics Competition based on their outstanding performances at the 2023 Wisconsin State VEX Robotics Competition. Now they need your help to participate in this one-of-a-kind event!

Two Deserving Teams

Ninth graders Jack DeMenter and Jack Henry – both members of Neenah High School’s Engineering Academy – earned the chance to represent Neenah High School by winning the VEX Amaze Award, which recognizes the most consistently high scoring and competitive robot.

This year’s Neenah Middle School team of Oliver Bontorno, Sam Bontorno, Jacob Perry and Nolan Manteufel qualified for the World’s Robotics Competition by winning three different awards, including the Excellence Award, which recognizes overall excellence in building a high-quality robot.

Supporting Student Success

The Neenah Rocket Robotics Program helps students in grades 6-12 to develop their skills in the areas of engineering and computer programming by designing, building, coding, testing, and operating a robot to successfully complete a series of challenges. The VEX World’s Robotics Competition is the ultimate challenge for the very best teams.

This year’s event will take place in Dallas, Texas, at the end of April. However, the cost of attending includes each team’s $1,200 entry fee, plus the cost of robotics components, transportation, meals and lodging. Your donation of any amount will help these two teams reach the final step of this year’s challenge, in addition to supporting their ongoing passion for engineering, building and computer programming.
