Kenya 2025
Donation protected
I have been given the most wonderful opportunity to participate in an incredible adventure to Kenya in July 2025. This expedition will not only give me the chance to absorb a tradition and culture far removed from what I know, but it will afford me the opportunity to positively impact the communities, wildlife and environment through conservation and sustainable projects in a small corner of Kenya.
During my time there, my aim will be to help improve living standards for rural communities, where there is currently very little opportunity for people to overcome poverty. I hope to be able to contribute to improving water supplies, living conditions and providing support to future-proof community income from livestock farming, by helping maintain animal health and welfare.
My time spent in Kenya will also allow me to play a critical role in enhancing and protecting some of the most beautiful and awesome landscapes and wildlife. I will be participating in an ongoing campaign to ease the conflict between man and the elephant by constructing humane deterrents, that ensure the elephants do not cross paths with local residents and put their precious lives at risk.
To immerse myself in the culture, I will be meeting and working with the Maasai Tribe; I am looking forward to learning more about how their unique culture survives and competes with the challenges of the modern world.
Whilst I understand my contribution to the Kenyan people and its wildlife will be just a small drop in the ocean, I am determined that my contribution will be positive and worthwhile. To be able to do this I need to fundraise, so whilst studying for my A Levels I will endeavour to raise as much as I can.
Thank you so much for your contributions and support. I will keep you updated on my progress.
