Allen Hynes is a writer, a social justice organizer, and disability advocate. He is currently working on a project to support people living in group homes to transition into independent living. He is studying at Portland State University to become a rehabilitation counselor in order to support people with disabilities to live their best lives.
Allen has Cerebral Palsy which impacts his speech and muscle movement. Eye gaze techonology allows users (or Allen) to operate computers without a mouse and keyboard. This technology would allow Allen to be more productive and communicate more effectively.
