My Assistance Dog Chutney
Donation protected
Hello,
Please can you help me?
We are raising funds for my Assistance Dog. He will help me everyday to do things most people can do easily.
I am 19 years old and all my teenage years I have experienced severe mental health problems. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with autism this was hard to hear but also a relief. Living with mental health problems and autism can be very hard but hopefully having an Assistance Dog will help a lot.
The main thing my dog will help me with is coping with chronic agoraphobia (This is a fear of going outside and to open and new places) I have been trying to cope with my agoraphobia since 2011 and it has left me stuck in my home all the time.
He will also help me with severe anxiety attacks, meltdowns, social skills and confidence in living a more independent life. My Assistance Dog will legally be allowed in public spaces such as the doctors, college and cafes. To be able to go to this places with my dog are my long term goals.
The dog that has been chosen for me is a beautiful chocolate Labrador who I have called Chutney. He starts training with Autism Dogs CIC in the next few weeks. The first deposit has been made through my own savings, but now I need a little bit of help with raising the rest.
Thank you for any donations.
Love from Cesca, Chutney and family
