Stolen, Now Found, Car Fund

On the night of Monday the 21st, I went down into town to hang out with my game pod for the night. It was a lovely night of games and I said my goodbyes around midnight making my trex back home. I walked down the sidewalk, mostly on autopilot, having done this million times. However I something felt off as I stopped and turned around - realizing i hadn't parked that far down the road. I soon realized that my car was not where I parked it. Cops were called and they determined it was theft. The next few days were surreal and strange as I dealt with all the calls and the fact my car and what was inside was gone.

I live about 35 minutes away from town and about 15 to 20(if snowing) from any Public Transportation. I live in a moderately rural mountain town, snow is always an issue as well as steep hills and hairpin turns and roads. I have to have a car to do anything locally, getting out of the house, and for future job prospects. I've looked at my options and have decided to try for a 3k car, 1998 to 2007's range. This will also allow me to get a better car with hopefully less issues, buy a car from my uncle who has offered or buy a cheaper car and having funds for the repairs it might need. 

I will be putting eight hundred towards my car. A friend has been kind enough to give me two hundred. So I have about 1K towards a car so far. The 2k will go toward buying a car and it's repairs(if needed). The three hundred will go towards tires(if needed), emissions, transfer of title,  license plate costs and potentially a steer wheel lock or other anti-theft device.  Any money gained over the amount set will be put towards the cars next oil change. better insurance or other things the car needs. Potentially replace missing items from the stolen car. I.e. Cold weather gear, painting tarp and a few small items. If it's a large amount i'll look for a better car outside of 3k. If I don't reach the 2.3k, i'll start the buying process after twenty days with what I have.   

Right now, I have access to cars. The access is a little limited because it is based on if parents are using said cars. The truck has power steering issues. The last car is a family friend's and isn't useable in snowy weather. I will be looking to find good cars and compiling those i also have been offered to buy from family and friends. I will likely narrow my search down around the 10th and start the buying process when goal is met or in twenty days from now.

This last year has been rough on many of us and WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED WE WOULD EXPERIENCE A PANDEMIC LIKE THIS?!?!?!? I wasn't expecting it nor getting my car stolen a few days before christmas.

I can make you something in return or if local, come watch your pet for a cheap price(covid restrictions and precautions  allowing as I live with two 'at risk' parents).  It might take me a bit(a few months depending) to make things, but it'll give me more to do.
