My name is Mark, and I live in Uganda with my brother, Francis. Our lives changed forever one tragic day when our father came home drunk. He started quarreling with our mother, and the argument quickly turned into a dangerous fight. In self-defense, Mom accidentally hit Dad with a knife, injuring him seriously. Sadly, our father lost his life from the injury. Our mother was arrested and is now serving 15 years in prison.

Since that day, life has been incredibly difficult for us. Without parents to support us, Francis and I are struggling every day. We have no steady income, and we face constant hunger. We desperately need help to continue our studies, pay rent, cover water and electricity bills, afford medication, and manage other daily necessities.
