Help Mrs. Cabahug, Liliosa recover from stroke.

To all my Family and Friends,

I am currently facing an unforeseen dilemma. My mother suffered a debilitating disease and was diagnosed with Right Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease (STROKE) and presents with left side paralysis. This was caused by a blockage in the medial cervical artery that deprived circulation on her basal ganglia and frontal lobe that affected its specific functions in the brain such as the ability to walk, voluntary movements on the left side, swallowing, ability to care for herself , weakness , and neurological pain/discomfort. Thank god she was admitted to the local stroke unit and was attended to within the golden hour before the deprivation of circulation worsens.

As I am handling her transition to home and organizing her total care. I’ve come to realized that her expenses are adding up and I only want the best for her. I am currently under leave of absence without pay and I am providing all I can during this process of recovery. I am seeking for any kind of monetary assistance/donations that can help with funding for my family during this difficult time and in return your kind donations can assist my family to provide a salary to supporting personnel’s and additional round the clock care , medical supplies, food for the people that are here helping my mother, equipments needed for home, and additional therapy services from 4 days a week to 7 days a week. It would help so much to keep her home running smoothly with the right kind care and support.

My parents and I are miles apart. I am in the Philippines temporarily setting up her routine and facilitating the supporting roles around her to properly provide medication via Nasal Gastric tube, scheduling the medication and proper administration, training on safe transfers and positioning in the bed /wheel chair , training on proper hygiene routine, building home equipments , and training caregivers on importance of prevention of further complication such bed sores and infection. I can only do so much while I am here visiting. I hope to establish a safe environment and acquiring the right help so that it can be beneficial for her and my father who is having trouble grasping the situation.
