Jim Kijewski--known as Mr. K or Coach K to most--served Lansing for decades as an educator, coach, and community leader.
He taught and coached for decades at T.F. South and was inolved in Lan Oak Pool from the very beginning.
Mr. K is celebrating his 80th birthday. And we'd like to honor him by doing more of what he did best--giving back to Lansing.
Contributions will be donated to the Lansing Park District. We've discussed a possible contribution for a picnic pavilion or other improvement with plaque, depending on how much is raised. Mr. K will decide with the park district what is done.
