Mohyla Family Fundraiser

My name is Joseph Mohyla. I’m 21 years old. I married the love of my life. Her name is Zoe Wines Mohyla. We were high school sweethearts. I was an athlete in high school. After high school I became a plumbing apprentice. We were surprised and overjoyed with the news that Zoe was expecting our first child, a baby girl. We are naming her Evelyn after my Nana who passed away. We were so excited for our future together. Soon after we got married I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and have a severe case. Our plans and dreams changed. I couldn’t continue with plumbing because of the physical demand on my body.

 Very soon I ended up in the hospital with such a complicated case they had to transfer me to VCU. I was 104 lbs. and hospitalized for 6 weeks. I had the first of several surgeries. I needed an ostomy bag because of all the damage caused by Crohn’s. I am home now getting my treatment and building up strength for the next surgery that will repair the damage. My wife and I are asking for financial help to ease the burden of unexpected medical expenses and monthly living expenses while I’m out of work which may be several months.
