Mitch Elder

(UPDATE) Mitch never recovered from the Stoke he suffered on April 22 he fought as hard as anyone I know. I'm torn apart having to write this but we lost Mitch on May 4th at 4:20 p.m. Mitch's insurance was not the kind that helps with end of life situations so I am asking for help for the family with any arrangements that need to be made.

We all know how stubborn a certain Mitchell Elder is. April 14 we found out Mitch has had 20 mini strokes after he finally admitted he needed to be seen. Two days later he had surgery on his Carotid Artery to clear a blockage and was cleared to come home. April 22 Mitch had another stroke just more severe. He was rushed by ambulance to Parkview in Columbia City and then transfered to Parkview North ICU in Fort Wayne. Mitch was unable to walk and very confused when he was taken. He had to undergo another surgery on his brain to help drain blood the night of April 22 after a failed first attempt they got the drain tube inserted and working as intended. That is all we know as of April 23. Mitch has a long bumpy road ahead of him with possible living arrangements and care I'm personally asking for any friends of Mitch to help out in this time of need. He needs all the prayers and help we can give at this time. With no income and being in Fort Wayne for the foreseeable future it will be mentally and financially tough on everyone involved.
