Mike Empson's road to recovery!

Recently, a visit to the ER for seemingly something much less serious turned into a prognosis that has altered the foreseeable future for Mike. An individual who is a son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many has been unable to work and will be undergoing a major operation to remove a tumor in his head. The tumor is between the two main arteries to his brain and has feelers that cannot be removed during the procedure. With the significant operation comes additional treatment and recovery, preventing him from returning to work immediately as a local 277 union carpenter. On top of being unable to work is the compounding stress of the unknowns and the stress of trying to pay bills, not expecting this unfortunate circumstance when life was being lived to the fullest. Mike has always been a person to help others and enjoys bringing laughter to everyone. He is a man who doesn’t ask for help, nor is at this time, but his family would like to bring together his family and friends to help ease the stress and burdens that come with a major surgery like this in which it prevents him from working and providing for his family for the foreseeable future. The funds raised will pay the doctor's bill, bills and food as Mike recovers. We all pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. We look forward to Mike getting back to living life on his terms.
