A few days ago, our friend and her family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare when their home was destroyed in a sudden house fire, just 11 days before Christmas. While investigations are still ongoing, the cause is believed to be linked to a solar battery.

Thankfully, everyone is physically safe, but they lost everything within the home. They have the clothes they were wearing, and the ones that were hanging on the clothes line at the time. This is a family of five, including three children (15, 13, 11) who are now facing the overwhelming task of starting again from scratch.

Right now, they need support for immediate essentials like clothing, food, temporary accommodation, and basic household needs, as well as longer-term costs as they rebuild their lives.
