Metaphysical Store needs financial help

After 20 years of serving the pagan and alternative spirituality community, Hawkner Metaphysical (formerly Eye of Horus) is closing its doors.

2019 was the strongest year in our history. We outgrew our storefront, and had to expand into the neighboring space. Our grand opening celebration for the expanded space was so much fun! Our community was amazing! But then the COVID quarantine put us all into lock-down, just one month after that happy event.

The business has been struggling to regain its footing ever since, and the owner’s declining mobility makes the situation unsustainable.

Over the past couple years of slow decline, we have racked up an enormous amount of debt. The owner would prefer to pay everyone (payroll for staff, numerous consignment artisans, the best landlord in the world, and several beloved vendors). Simply filing for bankruptcy would be a dishonorable exit, and she’d prefer to avoid leaving so many good people in the lurch. These folks are family. The funds raised here will go to very deserving individuals & organizations.

This fund raising campaign is intended to provide a smoother finale to two decades of providing space, service, and goods to some of the loveliest people in the world. You are all bright lights!
