LeAnne Marie Ravenscraft (née Proper)

March 5, 1963 - June 23, 2022

 

This fundraiser is in lieu of flowers to raise money for a permanent space of remembrance. In conjunction with the Lombard Park District, Lee’s family will plant a tree near her home at Terrace View Park in her memory. One could often find her walking around the pond at the park, praying and enjoying the outdoors. Her family hopes this will continue to be a place to honor her. Thank you for supporting Lee and her family in this time.

 

LeAnne Marie Ravenscraft (née Proper) passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2022 at the age of 59. A proud native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Lee loved the outdoors and summer trips to her family’s cabin in Spooner, Wisconsin.

 

Lee spent much of her life in Lombard, Illinois. She truly embodied Midwestern values. She cared deeply for her family, took pride in her work, and invested in her community and her church. Throughout her life, her authentic faith expressed itself through acts of care and compassion that encouraged others.

 

Life’s simplest pleasure brought great joy to Lee. Spending time with family and friends, playing cards, going on walks, working as a crossing guard for Pleasant Lane Elementary School, cooking her favorite meals, and supporting her two favorite sports teams: the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs.

 

Lee is survived by her husband, Stephen; her children Matthew (Hailey) Ravenscraft, Jacob (Emily) Ravenscraft and Kelly Ravenscraft; her six grandchildren, Paisley, Jordan, Heath, Nora, Brooklyn and Audrey; and her brothers, Doug, Bruce, Jeff, and Wayne.
