Assistance with Expenses for Sherman & Annie Minor

This GoFundMe was created to help with the cost of funeral arrangements for Sherman Minor and the intensive medical expenses for Annie Minor, due to their battle with COVID-19.

In March, our parents  were both diagnosed with severe cases of COVID-19 and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Northside Hospital  in Atlanta, GA.  They were both placed in medically induced comas and fought for their lives for 8 long weeks.  It was an emotional rollercoaster as we were devastated, confused, hopeful, and hurt by this sudden medical emergency. 

Then, we witnessed a miracle... Our parents began to show improvement. They were awake, transferred out of the ICU, and reunited!  This was the best news we'd received since their admittance. We were happy  that they were together and hopeful for their recovery.

As our mother's health improved, she was transferred to a rehabilitation facility. Our father remained at Northside Hospital for further monitoring.  Our dad's health took a drastic turn and rapidly declined. Over Memorial Day Weekend, he aspirated three times - the third time, requiring 3 units of blood. His body lacked oxygen and his heart was not strong enough to endure additional trauma. Our father, Sherman Minor,  passed away at Northside Hospital on Tuesday, May 26th.

Our mother, Annie Minor, requires significant in-home care and is learning how to regain her mobility.

Our family is in need of financial assistance during this difficult time to help cover the cost of funeral expenses for our father and the ongoing medical expenses for our mother.

We would not ask if we truly didn't need the help.  The Minor family is so grateful for any donations, prayers, and shows of support.
