Meerkat‘s Medical Bills

Hey Everyone,

My dog Meerkat has been by my side his whole life, for his whole 8 years he’s been my very best friend and my little sidekick. Earlier this month he began vomiting and stopped eating and we took him to the vet multiple times without answers. He began losing significant weight and eventually a blockage was found in his intestines. He underwent an extensive abdominal surgery to remove said blockage. Two days post surgery he hasn’t been able to hold anything down and has only gotten weaker. This morning, 5/29, we discovered that his surgery has failed causing his intestine to burst and leak fluid into his abdominal cavity. This has caused a large infection requiring IV antibiotics and pain medication. He had his 2nd large abdominal surgery today removing more intestine. His abdomen was washed out and a drain was placed. The vet has recommended that he transfers to a 24 hour vet where he can receive intensive care. As you all know with the extent of the procedures he has already received this has been quite expensive. Most vets do not offer payment plans and I have already used the option of care credit. Please help my baby get the care he needs to survive this. if you can’t donate, it would help immensely if you could share and/or keep him in your prayers.
