Medical equipment for Sam Tift
Donation protected
Today, October 17th marks three months since our Husband, Father and Grandfather was hospitalized. Thinking he was having a heart attack he was taken to the hospital where they found an aortic dissection. This is considered a catastrophic medical event. Thankfully it did not cost him his life, but sadly while he was sedated he suffered several strokes which left him unable to use 3 of his extremities. The doctors do think the strokes are recoverable but in the meantime he will be going home very soon. To do this we will have to purchase several pieces of equipment not completely covered by insurance such as an electric wheelchair and lifts to assist in getting him around the house and in and out of their vehicles. He will be coming home next week and we are so grateful that he is still with us. We cannot wait to get him home, and we are hoping this will help lessen the financial burden of these equipment costs. Anything you can give is so appreciated, and all of the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes these last three months have meant more than we can ever say.
