Medical Expenses for Leanne's Lyme treatments

Donation protected
For those of you that know my mom(Leanne Wingrove) know that she has always been an extremely hard-working woman. She was a entrepreneur, artist, business owner, back to the lander, dreamer and the sky was the limit. She is a mother of six, grandmother of eight. She is the glue that holds our family together. She is compassionate and a humanitarian at its finest. I have watched her my entire life care for others, giving the shirt off her back. My mom has always been so passionate about taking care of her loved ones and even strangers. She truly is the hardest working woman that I have ever known.

In 2009 she was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease and 6 other co-infections. For the past 12 years my mother has been literally fighting for her own life. Due to her illness we had to give up our home in Newton County Arkansas and move to Eureka Springs so that we could be closer to doctors, hospitals and have better living conditions for her. I have watched her become debilitated, have seizures and struggle to do the daily tasks to simply live. For many years I was her caregiver and the financial provider for her and my two younger siblings. She has tried treatment after treatment with no success. Her quality of life has improved some in the past 5 years. She is now able to get out of bed and no longer has seizures. However this disease is still causing extreme pain and taxing her central nervous system. She is no where living the life that every human deserves. For the past six years my mother has watched three of her grandchildren 40 hours a week on top of being ill. So even in her time of illness she is still caring for others and putting them before herself. It is now time for her to have the love and support from her loved ones.

We have been very fortunate to find an amazing Lyme Treatment Center in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a 9-month program where she goes to Memphis weekly for treatments. She had her first treatment on the 14th of February. This requires her to drive to Memphis Sundays and return home on Thursdays. We have a very long road ahead of us but beyond grateful that she has this opportunity and have extremely high hopes that this will push Lyme into remission. I have read hundreds of testimonies about this protocol and the success rate is higher than any program I have seen. I am paying for this treatment which is $6,000. However cost of travel, food and living expenses while she is in Memphis are adding up really fast already.

I myself am a single mother who runs a full-time business. I am helping financially as much as I possibly can however my mother deserves more. She deserves to be able to do this treatment without having to worry about how she is going to feed herself, cover her bills and travel expenses with her fixed income. She deserves to have her life and health back. This is all that I have prayed for the past 12 years so I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this treatment as successful as possible.

My mother is a very proud woman and would never ask for help. For so many years people have not even known how ill she really has been because she refuses to allow people to see her in her sickest conditions. So I am here to ask for help for her. ANYTHING will help. Thank you so much for hearing a desperate daughter out.

Much love,
Nikkiah
