Carter’s corrective foot surgery!
Donation protected
For years, our son Carter has been playing the sport of baseball, which he eats, sleeps and breathes. Unfortunately, due to him having flat feet, his bones are misaligned, causing him to play in constant pain.
Only 12 years old, Carter has handled it like the champ he is. He never complains, always takes one for the team, but continues to suffer through it. He’s been wearing orthodic arches to help, but it wasn’t until our doctor’s visit on 1/2/18, that the doctor expressed her sincere concern for his worsening condition. Coupled by the fact that he’s not only going through a growth spurt, but so are his feet. He’s now wearing a size 13 men’s shoe, at 12 years of age .
Unless the surgery is done before his bones harden, he won’t be a candidate for this corrective surgery, and will be prone to ankle, foot, and knee pain / issues for the rest of his life!
Our medical insurance doesn’t cover the nearly $10,000 procedure, which means it will be a 100% out of pocket expense to fix our son’s feet. We are asking friends and family to please help , so our son doesn't continue to limp around, in pain. He's a tough young man and loves baseball, but will need to take a leave of absence from the sport he loves after surgery. The Wood family is asking for any help you can provide. Thank you and God bless.
