Medical and Doctor Expenses

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am fundraising for my son to cover his medical expenses and doctor visits that are not covered under insurance. My eight year old son, Nicholas, was born with a rare, genetic complex disease called Prader-Willi syndrome. He sees many different specialists in order to keep him healthy and to try to treat this disease that is incurable. With this disease comes behavior issues also and since ABA therapy is not covered under my insurance, nor is a psychiatrist who is the only world renowned dr in PWS, I am looking to raise some funds to cover the cost of his therapy and visits to this doctor. I am a single mom of 3 and even though I am working, I cannot cover all of his out-of-pocket expenses that he needs to make his life better. His psychiatrist who he needs to visit to get him a good care regimen costs $1,400 for the initial visit and then 200-400$ per follow up appointment. Nicolas is a loving, caring, sweet boy who will hug and talk to anybody and he really doesn't deserve this terrible disease to hold him back which is why I'm hoping to raise some funds for at least this year to work with a psychiatrist and others to help him live his life full.
