Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Five years ago, a small dream began to take shape in the heart of Nelson.

What started as a humble space has grown, by the will of Allah, into a living, breathing home for our community.. "Masjid Al-Mustafa".

Alhamdulillah, in just five years, more than 500 students have walked through its doors seeking knowledge. Children have learned to recite the Qur’an. Young hearts have discovered their identity. Adults have found guidance, companionship, and purpose. Daily prayers are now filled with familiar faces standing shoulder to shoulder. Classes, reminders, and community sessions echo through its halls. What was once simply a building is becoming an icon of Nelson, a sanctuary of faith, unity, and hope.

None of this would have been possible without the grace of Allah, your duas, and your continued support.

But as many of you know, our building has carried the weight of time. Age and damage have required constant care. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to improve and restore it, installing new windows, upgrading the heating system, building a new basement, fitting a new kitchen, refurbishing the toilets, and much more. Each improvement has been a step toward creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who enters.

Now, we face one of our most important projects yet.

This year, we are focusing on the main jamaat khana.. the heart of the masjid. The prayer hall that holds our sujood, our tears, our Eid embraces, our Janazah prayers. Unfortunately, it has suffered significant water damage. The walls require repair and replastering. Plumbing and electrics need attention. The ceiling must be restored. And finally, the space needs proper tiling to ensure durability and beauty for years to come.

This is not just a renovation. It is an investment in generations.

Every brick repaired, every tile laid, every wall restored will carry the reward of every salah prayed within it. Every child who learns. Every heart that softens. Every dua that rises from that space.
