Mary's Ironman Challenge
Donation protected
Becoming an Ironman is a dream for me.
It is a gruelling 2.4 mile open water swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride and then a 26.2 mile run.
I want to raise money for 2 great causes on my journey to become an Ironman:
1. Ride for michael ( www.rideformichael.org) - Michael
is a friend who fell off his bike during a sportive in 2013. He suffered a life changing injury and is now tetraplegic. l want to help raise funds to purchase a custom built, Boma 7 off-road wheelchair to enable him to get back out into the Lake District countryside; albeit on 4 wheels rather than 2!
2. CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland) www.chas.org.uk
CHAS is the only charity in Scotland that provides vital hospice services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
CHAS offers care for the whole family in two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch. They also run a homecare service called CHAS at Home helping families in their own homes across Scotland when they need it most.
Please give what you can to help Michael and CHAS and help support me by doing so.
Thank you :-)
