A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer. My husband, James, and I are asking for help to cover medical expenses for my breast cancer surgery in January and to help us with living expenses as I recover from a mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and chemotherapy. Unclear if I'll need radiation.
After facing the initial shock and emotions of my diagnosis, we are grateful for the small day-to-day kindnesses from those in our lives. Neighbors are offering to help with shopping, and I have a support system set up to help with doctors' appointments so James can keep working throughout this. We remain positive and I'm ready to get started with this life-changing process.
