Rally for Rhett Blakely Bell
My beautiful niece, Rhett Blakely Bell, came into this world on April 3, 2018 to the joy of my brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Amber Bell, and her sisters, Reagan and Ruby. The next day they received devastating news that Rhett was diagnosed with a blockage in her small intestine (known as Short Bowel Atresia or Ileal Atresia) and required emergency surgery. Over the next 60 days, Rhett battled one complication after another, and recovered enough for her second surgery. Amber, Matt and the girls essentially lived at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for 86 days. On June 29, Rhett was finally able to come home to her adoring family.

I am telling Rhett’s story to let you know what a fighter she already is, and that your prayers and financial assistance would be greatly appreciated. While she is out of danger for the moment, her story is far from over. With medical bills exceeding well over $1,500,000 and more than $17,000 in out-of-pocket expenses already, the special formula Rhett will require will cost more than $1,000 a month for the next 12 months and longer. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial strain on this family is overwhelming.
