Luuk Troake's Leukaemia Fund

My nephew Luuk (5) was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. This devastating news has had a huge impact on our family and although Luuk is being incredibly brave, it is a very difficult thing for everyone to come to terms with.
The treatment Luuk has already received both in Bristol Children's Hospital and Exeter RD&E Hospital has been world class and we are so fortunate that he has access to NHS healthcare. However, this life changing event has come at a particularly tricky time as my sister, Charmaine, was due to start a new job when the diagnosis was received and now finds herself unable to work for at least 6 months out of Luuk’s 3 year treatment plan.
In order to try and ease the financial pressure that Charmaine and Dom have been put under, I have set up this page as a platform to support them on this extremely difficult journey.
Any donations received would be put towards covering the costs of travelling to Bristol and back for treatment, staying away from home, food expenses, household bills and items/experiences that will help Luuk along the way. For example, he requires a wheelchair to use at home as his mobility is slowly decreasing and he's unable to walk long distances. Some of your contributions might also help to fund a fun day out for Luuk when he is feeling strong enough and his risk of infection is low.
Charmaine, Dom and Luuk are incredibly humbled by all of the support and well wishes they have received so far. Friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues and Luuk's school have all been extremely helpful and their kindness has been gratefully received.
