Luis Mauricio Chávez

Mauricio, a bubbly outgoing soul leaves this earth way too soon. He came to the United States in the hopes of providing a better life for his family. His tragical death happened in the blink of an eye when he fell down the stairs, as per witnesses and from that fall he never woke up again. He leaves his family and friends with a shattered heart… A son and a daughter who never got to hug their father one last time after 20+ years of being without them in the hopes of providing a better life for them. Mauricio sacrificed the warm embrace of his kids… seeing them change from kids to teens into young adults. He became a grandfather and was never able to witness his grand kids first steps… As an immigrant I guess it’s the price we pay for providing a better life to those we love… We are trying to collect the funds to send Maurici back home to Mexico, where unfortunately after not seeing his family after 20 plus years; the last time they’ll see him will be at his funeral. Mauricio will always be remembered as a man whom liked to see the room light up with smiles and laughter…. To me growing up, Mauricio was one of the few family we had, and I cherished him like an uncle. We are trying to be able to send him home where he shall rest in peace surrounded by his family and kids. Every dollar helps…. Thank you.
