Lui Daisy helping “The mighty Roar”

Hi everyone, in October my Daughter Lui will be traveling to Sri Lanka for 4 weeks. She has volunteered to work for a Charity called “the mighty roar” who’s aim is helping street dogs.

Being a dog in Sri Lanka is a hard life, with upwards of 3 million stays wandering the streets and beaches. Lack of food shelter and basic care,means that diseases like rabies are rife,and malnutrition is prevalent. They can also be targeted by locals, inflicting horrific injuries on them.

The charity runs a small dog shelter to house the most poorly, but also go out into the nearby villages to feed,inoculate and sterilise the local strays. They also run a campaign to try and educate the local population that these dogs are not vermin and deserve a decent life.

Lui had been an ardent animal lover all her life, I think she’ll find what she sees there very distressing but I’m very proud of her for doing it. She is adamant that she pays for it herself because it’s something she feels she needs to do, but obviously it’s expensive and I think it would be nice if we helped her out a little bit.

So anything anyone could spare would be hugely appreciated,as would any advice on fundraising ‍♂️
