My Story
My goal is simple, to be the best in the world.
I am an athlete, not just a golfer.
My first sport was tennis at the age of 5. I started playing in a junior clinic, where I gained my strong hand-eye coordination and a passion for sports. Golf found me at the age of 10, no one in my family played golf. One day, I was playing at a neighbor’s house and ended up tagging along to his golf lesson. The instructor let me hit a few shots on the side and commented that I had a natural swing; I was hooked. I begin taking lessons with the instructor, joined her junior golf program with her nieces, and found San Diego Junior Golf through them. I won the third golf tournament I entered at Balboa Park 9 Municipal, and the rest is history.
I played golf at UCLA on a full scholarship. My junior year, we won PAC-10’s as a team, I medaled individually, and I led our team to National Championship beating the favorite that year, Duke University. During my time at UCLA, I won 5 Individual titles and was a 3-time First Team All American.
I turned professional the summer of 2005. As a Professional, I have 2 Duramed Futures Tour Titles, earned my LPGA status in 2007, and made 54 out of 67 cuts, before a left wrist injury forced me to lose my Tour Card. After months of trying to play through the pain, I took the advice of several hand specialists and stepped away from golf to allow my injury to heal. In hindsight, it was a great learning time for me which allowed me focus on life and balance. I was able to meet the love of my life, who immigrated from Canada, get married and balance life as a working professional athlete.
Here we are in 2017 and I’m ready to go. I’ve found a fitness regime that I’m committed to and passionate about the team I’m building around me. I don’t have any LPGA status, so my plan is to enter Monday Qualifiers and at the end of the summer compete in the LPGA Qualifying School.
I’m passionate, hard working, and a dedicated athlete that is obsessed with the journey.
Thank you for your time and support.
