Love for Khloe

Six year old Khloe is my cousin and godchild.  She’s always been smart, strong, and completely healthy.  On December 5th everyone was blindsided by the news that she had been flown to Hershey Hospital due to bleeding in her brain.  Khloe had an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in her brain that had caused the bleeding (found via testing performed after the incident). Emergency surgery was performed to remove a piece of her skull to relieve pressure and prevent a stroke.   Since then, Khloe has overcome so many obstacles.   She continues to improve everyday with the same strength and spirit that she’s always possessed.  Khloe is awake, completely aware, and one look into her beautiful brown eyes tells you that she is as smart as ever - she doesn’t miss a thing.  She’s in rehab focusing on her speech and regaining strength on her right side.  She misses being home with her brothers and is working hard to get out of rehab.  

Many have asked how they can help.  To begin, we so appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers.  God is faithful and good. His hand has been seen in this terrible circumstance - both in Khloe’s recovery and in the strength and peace her parents are walking in.  

If anyone would have it on their heart to give financially, we (family of the Ferree’s) have put together this account.  Jason and Kim aren’t personally seeking this kind of help, but so many have asked if there was a way to give that we asked their permission to do this.   We know what they will be facing in the coming months - medical bills, leave from work (neither Jason nor Kim have left Khloe’s side), and Khloe’s future with everything she is working to overcome.   I know that they will put Khloe first in all the decisions that they make.   Again, thanks for all of the thoughts, prayers, and concern.  Jason, Kim, and all of us who are their family members are so appreciative of the outpouring of love.
