Support Dana Swartz in her battle against Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Over the summer our mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
Our mom is an incredible mother who has always been there for us as well as those she loves and cares about. She is a vibrant, fun, loving person who is always trying her best to serve, uplift others and let them know how much she cares.
Many of you know her as Señora. For 27 years she has welcomed around 5000 students through her classroom doors at Lone Peak High School. She LOVES teaching Spanish! We've watched her come home and celebrate things with her family and then turn around and go back to school until 1 am to prep her lessons. Her Spanish students mean the world to her.
Many more of you may know her as your guitar teacher. She has a talent for sharing her love of music with her students. We've seen her stay up late many nights working on a song that one of her students requested to learn on the guitar. She loves her students and she loves teaching. It has brought so much richness and joy into her life.
So here we are reaching out to all those whose lives she may have touched in one way or another to ask for your help. Lung Cancer is not an easy one to beat, but if anyone can do it, it's our mom. We know that this next year is going to be incredibly tough and along with the emotional and physical battle, there will also be a heavy financial burden. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover as much of her medical expenses as possible so that she can just worry about getting better and not about how to pay for it all. Any donation, no matter how small, makes a significant difference and will go towards medical expenses not covered by insurance, including surgeries, therapies, medications as well as any rehabilitation costs. If you can't donate, share this on social media to help it move along!
We can't tell you how grateful we are for each and every one of you.
