Help birth a music venue in the woods on a farm in a barn

Too many to mention have graced Scott’s fabled and legendary stage, The Saint.

An iconic original music destination since it was established in 1994 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, The Saint can be added to a short list of legendary, old-school, classic DIY venues that took a hard hit following a global pandemic that tore into the music industry, stealing from us all that we knew and loved; a home, business, and all that was familiar. We got clobbered and had entirely given up — until a recent dream, an epiphany.

We have a dream. To begin again. Start from scratch. To build an entirely new venue on the farm we now call home — in the barns on the property where we live and reside — and host concerts here with others, an open space. Help birth a music venue in the woods on a farm in a barn.

New location in Stockton NJ. New name (TBD). Same passion.

Three years ago, hundreds came together to lend a helping hand. It was not support given by millionaires or billionaires, but by hundreds of our closest friends and dearest fans, music lovers and family. Salt of the earth. People gave what they could and also gave something more subtle that made all the difference — hope. We lost everything in the storm but the campaign underlined the powerful and unifying force of live original music and our strong and devoted, loving and united community.

We are acutely aware and recognize that times are challenging, but we too realize not all are struggling and we are grateful for the support from those who are able to make a small contribution for the love of live music.

First step. We need to clear the barns on the property and build them out appropriately to code with a solid stage complete with state of the art sound booth and lighting consoles, seating, a mirror ball and a juice bar. We have a seasoned crew at the ready and are looking into doing BYOB and checking into the legality of a bar on wheels for hire, for those who enjoy something a little stronger at a show.

For each donation received, a board or brick or piece of personalized art with your name emblazoned on it will be used to build out the new space; stage and barns.

We will be throwing one hell of a concert for all as a way to say thanks.

Thank you for your support throughout the years. Still standing, we thought it was the end of the line for us but instead we are working hard, reimagining, and now taking suggestions for a new name to call the space. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

Regarding The Saint, we are currently in contract and obligated to sit tight until resolution. It’s been a slow process but we are confident it will resolve soon. Until then, we figure, let’s give it a go and get on with the show as we are not getting any younger. New name. New locale. Same passion.

Looking forward to and can’t wait to see you all at a show. Amen. Lovingly, Meg & Scott ♥️
