Little Luna's Medical bills

They say your animals choose you. It was on my sunny morning ditch walk when I first saw her. Nobody was in sight. A fuzzy black puppy, fur full of burs. I pulled her from the Acequia and set her on the side of the ditch. She followed me all the way back to our house, never leaving my side. After searching for her owner to no avail, she became ours that day.
Ale and I decided to name her Luna, after that evening’s new moon. Two days later, at only 10 weeks old, Luna was crushed under a 400-pound piece of falling construction material in our yard. I carried her into the back of the truck and as she cried on the way to the emergency vet, we said our goodbyes.
Luna’s bright puppy spirit emerged 36 hour later, undiminished even with broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder wrapped in a splint . I’m launching this GoFundMe with the goal of raising $5,000 to cover her emergency vet fees and upcoming vet bills that are weakly so Luna can be a puppy again. When she was crushed, I didn’t stop to think about the cost, I just knew I had to try to save her. In a short two weeks, Luna has filled our home with her presence, with love, hope and reminders of the tenacity of life.
