Please join us in collecting monetary support for our dear friend, Lisa Polinsky. Lisa has been experiencing health challenges as a result of stage 4 cancer for the last handful of months. Both her heart and lungs have been impacted, making it difficult for her to keep up with her daily tasks of living, let alone maintaining her income. As those of us who are self-employed understand all too acutely, there is no net to catch us. Lisa is the primary breadwinner for her family and has also recently been supporting her parents while her mother has gone through a cancer journey. It’s been a challenging year, to say the least.

While care options are explored, we know there is still a rapid cancer process unfolding, so Lisa has closed her practice and is focusing full-time on her health and recovery. This will require well-thought-out, albeit exhausting, medical treatments for a yet-to-be-determined length of time. While we wish not to focus on the diagnosis, and keep Lisa’s complete healing in the forefront, we also need to address the cancer. The BC medical system has admitted they do not have a cure, and have recommended chemo to slow down the process, but we know there are other options to integrate for a full recovery, and Lisa will be pursuing those as well.

Lisa has served her patients and community for 27 years as an ND, with all of her heart and spirit, but now it is time for her to receive love and support so that she can continue to meet her basic needs and those of her family. We ask for your help in setting up some ways to buttress her while she heals, so that she can rest and know that she will have resources to continue her life on the other side of all this.

The funds gathered through this GoFundMe will go directly to ensuring Lisa has the healthcare she needs, and the time and space her body requires to heal during this time in which she is unable to maintain her clinical practice.
