Life Saving Surgery for Kai the Shiba Inu
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
3 months ago I decided to rescue a dog from an animal shelter. This dog happened to be Kai, a 9 year old Shiba Inu. When I first met Kai he was a shy, timid dog who had been in the shelter for months after his previous owner passed. When we left he was very reserved and only weighted 13 pounds. He would never run, he couldn't make it up any stairs, and he would barely eat. In the past 3 months, he has put on 7 pounds and he has began to run around and play like a normal dog again.
When I came home yesterday night I found Kai hunched over in pain and rushed him to the vet. Unfortunately we had discovered that his perineal hernia had suddenly taken a turn for the worse to the point where he requires surgery to remove his hernia as soon as possible. However, due to financial difficulties I am unable to pay for this life-saving surgery. Kai has been one of the best things to happen to me, but more than that I want to give Kai a second shot at life and put him back on the path to recovery.
All of the money raised here will go towards Kai's pre-operation tests and the hernia removal surgery. Anything you can offer will bring us a step closer to saving Kai. Please help me make Kai's rescue story a successful one, Kai and I will be forever grateful.
