Hi, my name is Monica and I am fundraising for my childhood bestfriend Mandy.

Mandy and I have known each other since we were babies, and watching her fight invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. She’s a single mom to Hayden - her amazing adult son with special needs. She is also a self-employed woman with a physically demanding job and the financial hit of being off for multiple surgeries, treatments, and rehab is enormous.

There’s no income coming in while she’s recovering, and she’s been waiting over 60 days for any kind of response from government assistance. Even when those funds eventually come through, they won’t come close to covering her basic bills or the extra care and arrangements needed for Hayden.
