Internet meet Mehmet El Abdalla, his mother, Busra El Mehmet and the direct beneficiary of the funds, Aly El Ganzouri (who is setting up the home for the family).

Mehmet is a recent Canadian immigrant who came from Turkey to Canada 2 weeks ago for a chance at a better life. Muhammad and his family do not have their own home, so they were selling fruits & vegetables in hopes to raise funds for a home, clothes and food.

After telling Mehmet I had no money, him and his mom persisted to offer me the tomatoes and cucumbers for free, stating, “It is the Arabic culture to give to everyone”. This broke me and inspired this crowdfund.
