Let's help Kevin Mauger get back on his feet again
Donation protected
On Sunday 24th Febuary 2019 Kevin was involved in a serious motorbike accident resulting in a punctured lung, all ribs broken, collarbone, broken finger, brain haemorrhages, and eye injury and multiple cuts and gravel rash abrasions. He was airlifted from the roadside in Thangool that afternoon by the Capricorn Rescue team and transported to Rockhampton Hospital where he spent 10 days in the intensive Care Unit, 4 of these days he spent in a Coma. Kevin is awake and on the mend and starting Rehab in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit of the PA hospital where they will teach him to walk and use his brain to full capacity again. Kev has already been off work 3 weeks and the expected time in Rehab in Brisbane is the between 4 - 8 weeks. If anyone can donate to help Kev out during this time that would be greatly appreciated.
"Poem for our brother and our good mate"
The bigger they are the harder they fall
When your larger than life itself
Who is it then, that you can call
To catch you when you fall
And give you back to those who love you most of all
To my brother who is broken and not well
And who's spirit is lost in the pain from hell
It will God's speed you know
That will get you there
Even when it hurts so much
That you don't care
Time heals all my brother
You are everyone's mate
Tis but a journey in which
You must partake
Through a vision thats blurred
And a head that feels slight
Youve been brought up to know
How and when you need to fight
So take it from here brother Kev
And life long friend
Give it all you've got
And you will be the winner in the end
